We Specialize in Special Eyes!
Dr. Roddy is the Tulsa's leading provider of specialty contact lenses for eye disease, including keratoconus, corneal transplants, LASIK or RK complications, and eye injuries. We also provide contact lens solutions for patients with high prescriptions, including astigmatism, to help them achieve better functional vision than glasses can provide.
Types of Contact Lenses Available at Advanced Eye Care:
1.) Soft disposable lenses for myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia (bifocals). Daily disposable contact lenses are a great option for sensitive eyes, dry eyes, and active lifestyles.
2.) Hybrid Contact Lenses are a combination of a rigid lens for excellent vision with a soft skirt or edge for comfort. Hybrid contact lenses are also used as medically necessary contacts for patients with keratoconus, corneal transplants, and LASIK complications. Dr. Roddy is one of the top hybrid contact lens doctors in the U.S. and serves on a an advisory board for SynergEyes. She also serves as a beta test site for new hybrid designs. 3.) Scleral Contact Lenses are larger diameter (15-22mm) RGP lenses specially designed to vault over the entire cornea and rest on the scleral (white of the eye). The scleral lenses are inserted with non-preserved saline which acts as a fluid reservoir for the cornea. Scleral contact lenses provide a "normal" optical surface over distorted or irregular corneas to provide great vision and comfort. We can also add additional astigmatism and bifocal power to the front curvature of the scleral. For more information about scleral contact lenses please click All About Vision- Scleral.
